Important Notes: Above dates and locations are tentative and subject to change. Always check with coordinator first. Weather can cause problems in Northern New Mexico. If you know you are coming, get in touch with Seth or Lee or Curtis and let them know, and we will try to contact you if there are any last minute changes. Generally it is a good idea to try to arrive at the site around the time the sun sets: This allows you to find us before it gets dark.

To San Geronimo Lodge from Walgreens on Rt. 68/Paseo del Pueblo Sur:
At the light at the new Walgreens go east on Cruz Alta. Go about 1.5 miles on Cruz Alta, and turn left on Fernandez. Go around .1 miles and bear left onto Witt Rd. Right away you will go over a speed bump. Stay on Witt Road until you have passed the Lodge. Then turn right into the driveway. Park anywhere. Scopes will be set up on the edge of the field on the east side of the Lodge.
Directions to CR 110 site, 1.5 miles past UNM Klauer Campus on the south side of Taos:
From Taos Plaza travel South on Paseo del Pueblo Sur (which turns into State Road 68) for about 5.5 miles. After the 5.5 miles you will be in Ranchos de Taos and keep an eye out for signs pointing to County Road 110 and to UNM Klauer Campus. Turn Right on CR-110. Drive on CR-110 for about 2.4 miles when you will see a wood latilla fence. If you get lost, look for UNM Klauer campus and from the campus it is 1.5 miles to the site. Turn right just before the fence and follow it for a short distance (.2 miles). Turn left and go another .2 miles and look for us in the field on the left.

El Rito: At this point, we have not scheduled any regular star parties in the Observatory at Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) in El Rito. There are some repairs that urgently need to be made to the observatory in order to make it usable. Also, there have been an increasing number of lights at the college that have negatively impacted the night sky and seeing at the Observatory.
